Michael Drever, CEO and Founder

Michael Drever is CruiseShipCenters's CEO and Founder. Drever started CruiseShipCenters International Inc. in 1988. Under his leadership, CruiseShipCenters has grown from a start-up company to one of North America's leading cruise vacation specialists, with more than 114 retail locations and a team of over 2,500 Cruise Consultants. In 2007, Drever spearheaded a partnership with Expedia Inc. and re-branded the company as Expedia^® CruiseShipCenters^®.

Mr. Drever has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades over the course of his career including: Top 100 Entrepreneurs Under 30 in North America, "ACE 100" award from the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs, Top 40 Under 40 from Business in Vancouver, and the BCIT distinguished Alumni Award for Significant Contributions to an industry. The company has also won numerous awards including the Canadian Franchise Award of Excellence in 2006 and 2007, the Top National Account of the Year with Celebrity Cruises and Marketer of the Year from Princess Cruises.

In addition to his accomplishments in the travel industry, Drever has held various positions with both the International and Vancouver Chapters of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO), a global community of more than 6,000 business owners, including President in 2001.

Drever is a graduate of the Marketing and Sales program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He enjoys golfing, cooking and horseback and of course, travel.
