"After 14 years, I still can hardly wait to go to work in the morning. I love the business and the excitement. I just came back from being away for two weeks in Arizona. I set up high-speed Internet there so that I was still able to stay in the loop, to see what the sales were, to read the emails, etc. I am very dedicated to Expedia CruiseShipCenters and all the excitement and fun we have. It's a happy place to come to."

"I would absolutely spend another 23 years in this business. You don't have to retire to see the world. It's wonderful when you're on a cruise to look up your reports on CruiseDesk and see that your consultants are selling for you. You're making a living while also enjoying all the fruits of being a part of CruiseShipCenters!"

"After researching what Expedia
® CruiseShipCenters
® had to offer and all the other franchises that are out there, Expedia CruiseShipCenters seemed to fit in with my and my father's ideals of family business. It's that family cohesion that we felt when we met with Expedia CruiseShipCenters and it still continues.
I guess the biggest lesson was that Expedia CruiseShipCenters wasn't what I expected of a franchise in that rather than being dictated to you have a lot of autonomy to run your own business under the umbrella and guidance and the support of CruiseShipCenters."

"I was in some kind of early midlife crisis or something and decided the job I was in wasn't the place to be. We did some research and found cruising to be an attractive industry. It has the highest growth, the highest customer satisfaction level, the highest repeat factor. We felt it was a niche within travel that would do well and CruiseShipCenters, being the best company to join was the one we selected. An interesting thing is that we had never been on a cruise. The very first cruise we went on was three months after starting the business!"

"I started in Expedia CruiseShipCenters in April 1998. I was still teaching history and economics at the time, but I was retiring that year. I happened to be in a walking club, where I met a consultant who mentioned that the owner of Expedia CruiseShipCenters, Ottawa was looking for more consultants. I started working as a consultant in April of 1998 and then about three years later, the owner was up for selling his office. My other business partner Josee and I decided that we'd buy the franchise. So that's how we got into it. We took over an existing franchise and we already had about three years experience in with the company so we had a fairly good idea what the experience was and what we were getting into right off the bat."
